Justin let us know that he & Elder Carlson had a good productive week. He was glad to hear that we are finally receiving some rain out in the west. He said that they had heard that all over the west was burning up with the wildfires. He told us that they have had some rain, but nothing to serious.
Tie collecting must be the trend of the Elders these days. Justin stated that they going to hit some more thrift stores to browse ties. Justin has a collection; he is up to 56 last time he counted. Crazy Elders...
Justin tried some more okra. This time it was "pickled." Claims it was better then boiled for sure. Mexican type of soup, with hominy, chicken and lime zest; it was pretty good. The members here in Penscola make sure Elders are well fed and taken care of. Justin said it really makes the grocery shopping easy. Milk, powerade and wheat thins was his list for this week. Justin was braggin' it a little that he has mastered some fine cooking cuisine skills. He can make a killer stove top quesadilla, and a breakfast bagel / egg mc-muffin thats on steroids.... Been treated to Chinese buffet & red lobster gift card this past week. Spoiled Elders. Food overdose.
We had busy week. We taught more lessons this week then in the past four. Makes for good times. The heat index factor is still hot & humid & sticky crazy stuff. We will survive..
Justin attended a stake youth conference program; it was the grand finale he said. The youth produced the whole thing. It was a pagent type deal about the Joseph Smith story. What was cool that a non-member was actually playing Joseph Smith's role. They heard that in dress rehearsal that he actually shared his testimony with the cast; At least thats what the young women's president shared with us Elders.
All in all, many good experiences happening here in Pensacola., and there are sure more to come.

Pensacola, Florida
Justin has informed us this week that he has become a fan of "powerade" and good ole' "A/C." Justin said; "Stay cool, its super hot," Been in the high 90's. this week; up in the triple digits with the heat index, absolutely murderous. A/C was invented down in the South & Justin says he "knows" why !!! The South is why hankerchifs were invented; as to "my eyebrows are constantly failing; as I become blinded by sweat. Justin tells us that he has been working extremely hard on his farmers tan. Not to much sunburn though. Thinking of working on the highly coveted "watch tan" next.
Elder Carlson & Elder Brimhall seem to get along well; Justin says they can find the waters edge allot, but haven't actually officially located the beach. Justin said the last tropical storm was headed into Pensacola; but veered a hard left right before hitting land. They said that they just got some crazy winds. Start of the hurricane season he has told us, it will be the next 3 months for the season.
Justin told us that "As for the Burkes they will be getting Baptised pretty much when they get to where they are moving the husband will be getting re-baptised also he just got aproval from church HQ ." & " the sister missionaries over in their town in Georgia are so lucky to get them. " ; "since that one family (the Burkes) moved out, our teaching pool has kind of dried up so we are looking at allot of former/potential investigators and helping out some less actives as well. "
So, the Elders are busy carrying forward in Pensacola. Justin remains positive & upbeat & loving the mission work.
So, until further news..
