"Wet" Elders in Albany.
Water & rain seemed to be what Justin wanted to share in his last letter. Elder Hanson & Elder Brimhall were heading out for appointment last Wednesday; he told us they were about 9 miles out and a mile to go; then caught in a good ole' "Southern" downpour. That once they start, it doesn't let up or stop anytime soon. Justin says its was raining "Cats, Dogs & Baptists," That they sought some shelter in the car wash for a while & realized it wasn't going to blow over; then took shelter in the walmart for a while before they figured out that they were going to have to ride back to the apartment anyways. Drenched to the core; fully soaked through backpacks & all clothing. A shower & a change of dry clothes and off to there dinner appointment with some members.

Odd & Ends from last Email; waiting for the written update
Elder Brimhall did state he would send written update this week; Its Saturday morning & we are still waiting. Maybe the postman will have news in the box later this afternoon.
Mission president allows music instruments in the mission; he encourages us missionaries to develop our talents. It is kind of hard to lug a french horn around though. LOL. Most of the instruments are small flutes, ukes, guitars.
We have limited miles on the car, so we still bike allot to keep the fried foods in check, keep me in shape. The humidity & heat sure affects how long the bread and vegetables last; allot shorter then back in Utah.
Endured more flat tire adventure 12 miles out; did meet a few more people; hopefully potential investigators.
Our surprise for the week was at church; President & Sister Jensen showed up and they were are speakers. We even had investigators in attendance that day.
"Running out of time; I'll send you a written updates & stories this week, " - Quote from Justin. We will be waiting...

"How y'all doing ?"
Justins letters & emails are confirming he is slowly turning into a Southerner; they all have started with the "How yall doing ?"
Easter & Good Friday are a "Big Deal" in the South; he has informed us. Justin said all of downtown was a buzz; that there was a dj on every other corner playing loud gospel music; with lots of people singing & dancing.
Justin & his companion, Elder Hanson stopped by a store this past week that sells graphic tees. They have some interesting sayings on them. Justin said he bought one that says "Too Blessed to be Stressed" Elder Hanson bought one & it says "FAITHBOOK....Jesus has sent you a friend request." There was another shirt with a logo similar to the Tide detergent logo stating "Tithe...Only 10% for a squeaky clean soul."
Justin say's the South really cracks him up. So, thats all we get out of him until next email.

Conference in the Mission field -
Elder Justin was a bit lazy this week as far as a letter home to mom & dad. He did email last prep. day though; so lets see what we can share.
"Conference was SUPER CRAZY AWESOME !" is how Justin phrased it. "It's super different while a missionary. The spirit seems so strong." We also had sugar buzz galore'. Both Elder Hanson & I had bought treats; then Elder Hanson also received a conference care package with more sugar; candy bars with pictures of the apostles attached to them. Way to much sugar.....Oh did I say way to much sugar.
He has let us know it's been in the 90's & getting hot. They got caught in a rain storm last Friday; Justin told us earlier that day; they where out inviting people to conference. Justin found a nice piece of porcelain while biking on the backroads; which met up with his new rear tire & tube. 4 patches later; it held air for a brief time longer. Til out in no-where swamp land, while fending the gnats, mosquito's & other unknown buggy critters' Justin managed to re-patch the patch and with prayer to finish out the day. Awaking to yes, a flat tire; time for another new inner tube. Justin said he officially has "dubbed" that day, "The day that tried Elder Justin's patience the most!"
After last transfer, Elder Klingler, is the new Elder in our apartment. He seems pretty cool. Elder Hanson is the new Distrct Leader since now I'm trained. His first district meeting is tomorrow; sounds fun.
Love your Elder in Albany, Justin.
